- Alumnus Michael Nichols (Ph.D. '10) who accepted a position as the Associate Director and dean of Saint Joseph's College of Marian University in Indianapolis, IN.
- Alumna Myev Rees (Ph.D. '18) has accepted a tenure track job at Cypress College in California.
- Alumna Hannah Tebbetts (Ph.D. '18) has accepted a position as "Lecturer in Religious Studies" at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL, for the 2019-20 school year. She will be teaching two courses: "Religion and Capitalism" and "Religion and Politics.”

- Alumna Darcie Price-Wallace (Ph.D. '22) has just published an article in the Journal of Global Buddhism: “Buddhist Pro-Woman Attitudes Towards Full Ordination: Tibetan and Himalayan Monastics’ Views”
- Alumna Michael Nichols (Ph.D. '10) recently published a new book, Religion and Myth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is also an author of Malleable Mara: Transformations of a Buddhist Symbol of Evil published in 2019.
- Congratulations to Alumna Justine Howe (Ph.D. ’13), who has published her new book, “The Routledge Handbook of Islam and Gender." Justine Howe is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Case Western Reserve University.
- Congratulations to Alumna Michal Raucher (Ph.D. ’13), who has published her new book, “Conceiving Agency: Reproductive Authority among Haredi Women” with Indiana University Press. Michal Raucher is Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies and affiliate faculty in Women's and Gender Studies at Rutgers University.

Ananda Abeysekara (Ph.D. '99) is associate professor of religion at Virginia Tech. Institute. She is an author of Colors of the Robe: Religion, Identity, and Difference. The latest book Ananda Abeysekara has published is titled, The Politics of Postsecular Religion: Mourning Secular Futures (New York: Columbia University Press, 2008). It was selected by CHOICE as An Outstanding Academic Title, in 2009.

- Congratulations to Alumnus Adam Beyt ('12) who was awarded a doctoral degree from Fordham University (Ph.D. '21) this Spring, working with former Religious Studies faculty, Professor Cristina Traina. His dissertation is titled, "Enfleshing the Reign Of God: Embodiment and Praxis in the Thought of Edward Schillebeeckx and Judith Butler."
