Statement of Solidarity with our Community

The Department of Religious Studies condemns the horrific, racially-motivated Tops Market shooting in Buffalo on Saturday. We stand in solidarity with the victims and survivors of this shooting and against the hate of those who seek to terrorize our communities. As scholars of religion, we recognize the long history of hateful political violence in the United States and around the world, and we mourn the toll it continues to take today. Our thoughts are with the grieving people and families of Buffalo and around the country.
