Didem Kaya-Bayram
Didem is pursuing a PhD in religious studies with a focus on secularism and white supremacy. She is interested in the connections between secularization, colonization and racialization (specifically construction of whiteness) in the 19th century. Broadly her work is grounded in discourse analysis, decolonial theory and genealogy of concepts of secularism, religion and race. She has a B.A. in American Studies from Yale University.
